The problem is more about ES than SD. For what ever reason it seems that it will give 10% to 20% of your shots with significantly higher velocity than the others, and it is also double based and temperature sensitive.
All of what I've described in my 308 loads will be exacerbated in a 223 with the smaller volume, but you may not see issues if you keep it to 600 and under.
Personally I think it's a great powder for hunting loads. It measures really well, gives really good velocity, and at most hunting ranges for medium sized game it should be great.
That makes sense. In view of that I think I will tweak my 8208 loads first before I try 2000MR.
