Looking for a new scale

If you’re really trying to get into this, I’m just gonna say suck it up, save more money and the A&D you currently can’t afford. Regardless of your previous statement. If that’s a few more months of waiting then so be it. It will save you money in the long run by you not trying out different cheaper electronic scales. You also have the ability to get an AutoTrickler later down the line for it. Those pop up used for a deal from time to time too. It’s worth the investment and like I said, you’re going to end up spending more money in the long run trying other scales.

This is certainly going to be true for me if time doesn’t get me first. I have seen no complaints on the Fx120 scale in my years of reading this forum. It will be my next scale.

Thanks all for your comments. I want to measure my trickler and make sure that the nozzle is long enough to trickle on the scale.

I use the little dandy trickler for both scales, the 10-10 as well as the electric. I’m currently torture testing the Creedmoor scale and haven’t found any problems yet, the A&D and Creedmoor are both entry level scales made overseas with short warranties, one cost $600 the other was $250 and at the end of the day .. as the man said ( they weigh stuff’)

I have a brand new A&D FX 120I in the box, never been out. Saving it for just in case. I'm considering a Creedmoor scale just because I can. If I buy one I will probably use it. If so the Dandy trickler will be ordered also. I know it's a bunch of if's but IF it happens the A&D will eventually be sold. I have beam scales but for know I'm really liking my Frankford Arsenal Intellidropper. I have no problem shooting HM scores using this scale.
For more accuracy I believe I need to focus somewhere else.

I appreciate everyone's comments. The scale is in my budget. The a&d is not. I really believed in my beam scale up till yesterday. I always thought it was very accurate and then when I went back and wait bullet weights there was just too much variation for it to be accurate. When I look at my chronograph, it explains why my feet per second distribution is not close. I have a lot of really good shooters in my rain. They suggested the a&d. The second choice was the creedmoor. What I want to know is anyone that has a Creed more what they honestly think.

I have a Hornady beam scale for 25 years and still as accurate as my digital scale. Buy a set of calibration weights.

I didn't mention, but with the A&D scale and Dandy Trickler, I actually throw the initial load at .1 grain below on my RCBS Chargemaster, then dump that into the tray on the digital scale, bring it to exactly my weight. When I'm trickling the load I first hit the Dispense button on the Chargemaster, so it's throwing while I'm tricking. That system makes for a pretty fast and very accurate loading process.

I would look over tolerances of weigh classes to see if they meet your needs.
NIST Class F might not be good enough.
Some reviewers state most of the Lyman weights are on the Plus side.
Adjusting Down is a lot easier than adjusting Up.
Any check weight is better than none though.
