I'm looking to build another rifle unless I find a used one.
Looking for a accurate caliber that I can load at home and head to the range. It will be pretty much a spare rifle to friends to go to the range with me and have a accurate rifle.
I currently shoot 6ppc is why I want a load and go rifle .

Not sure what range your thinking shooting or If your looking something other a 6mm. If 300 yards and under I vote 223, light recoil somewhat cheap to reload.and what I’ve seen works good with a lot of different powders and bullets

After rereading your original post I would definitely build something that shoots factory ammo for the others to shoot.

@Lkwebb come shoot some of these BR and BRAs I’ve got. I preload everything, and I only fluctuate the charge maybe .3 over the course of the entire year. N135 and N140.

My thought;
223 bolt. Easy and cheap to reload and make highly accurate, also very manageable recoil for the ladies of youngsters. Even some of us old fogies.

Savage bolt in 6ARC. Again cheap to reload, becoming more popular, Factory loading's, light recoil. Besides you say you already load the 6 PPC so it is basically the same cartridge, only heavier bullet. Share bullets, powder.

I set my friends up with one of my custom guns. If I have a kid along, they get a 22LR or a 223. If the kid has experience, they get a custom 223 I built. Newbies get a factory gun.
For “load at home” and given your experience level, you should build yourself a 6br. Find an accurate node in the middle of the load range, well below max, for casual shooting with friends.

My 1:12 twist .223 Ruger needs bullets weighing under 55 gains. I like 53s and 52s~! Without excessive experimentation with different powders and loads, I get of .313 groups pretty consistently.

There’s nothin wrong with a good 223. I was talking about the range brass lol.
