new custom build questions

just got the go ahead from the misses: for my birthday i wanted to have as a present my first ever custom build rifle.
currently have the savage model 12 6BR, love this rifle, very accurate.
but i have always wanted to have one custom built for myself.
budget about 2-3k for the rifle.
I am getting older and so looking at shooting matches to 600-1000, just a newbie beginning.
i am leaning more toward the 6BR round which is easy and very accurate load for me to load.
so far with my savage i am able to hold at 200 yards 1/2 MOA groups ,
looking at shooting F class or benchrest,
i have had neck surgery few years ago , so not sure if Iam able to shoot prone long or better off benchrest.

i live in Washington state, any advice as to any local builders or anyone who is easy to work with,

what actions?
barrel length?
stocks?

learning alot each time i go shooting and I have gotten the bug for shooting long range.

any advice and comments would be greatly appreciated.

Like Z said. Depends on what you want to do with the rifle. For 600yd BR we are limited to the monthly Eatonville shoot unless you drive out of state.

Also depends when you want the gun. I'll PM you my phone # if you want to discuss.
