Although the .32-20 is not a long range cartridge, but what is the longest successful shot you've ever taken with one~?
Is it safe to say you could hit an 18" steel at that 200 yard distance~? I'll be shooting an old Winchester 1885 Lo-Wall that has been gone through by a gentleman who specializes in refurbishing those old treasures. In handgun, silhouette 200 yard Rams with a 32-20 10” barrel Contender
Standing free hand 50% of the time, scoped prong 90% of the time. That was when I was 50 and shot silhouette regularly. At 72 and no longer shooting silhouette by % would not be near that high. My Lo-Wall was in really good shape when I acquired it, but the caliber was totally obsolete ( .25RF ) unless I wanted to spend $4.00+ per cartridge (which I don't and never will). It will be chambered for .32-20 when I get it back and with my refinished stocks will look fantastic. I spent a lot of time getting the stocks done right. No short cuts~!! I don’t know what your gun or you are capable of. Sounds like a fun rifle. enjoy
