One thing that torques me is the two ranges I have access to, no shooting til 9;00AM, only get maybe an hour to1-1/2hrs before the sun hits hard and mirage goes nuts, then start sweating walking out to targets. I still stay out til noon, but, I do ask myself why I do it at times, mostly just to practice in the conditions is what I keep telling myself. I can never accuse it of being dull.

When I lived in eastern Washington for summer shooting I was done my 9am
Thankfully the private areas and local gun club had no hours, show up and open gate.

By noon mirage was normally so thick it was silly to try and hit anything in it at any fun distances.
Can only imagine mixing it with some humidity.

Just a note and how “hot” is a relative term.

Here in the Houston/Gulf Coast area, it reaches 100 just about every summer. But that is 100 with humidity so high you can just stand still and melt. It is miserable.

This past week we were in Raton NM for the NBRSA Score Nationals. Every day it got up to 98 degrees. But I never broke a sweat the entire time, even when setting the flags in he afternoon heat.

It has been 104 to 106F here in Southern California for well over 2 weeks and we just had our first day of double digits 95 F and it feels great. 90F is the new 70F
I did get this great little weather station an AcuRite 00554SBL Digital Wireless Indoor station that shows inside & outside temperature & humidity, time, date, and moon phase for $25 from ebay. Outdoor sensor is wireless
