Let's snivel about the heat.

I've replied to this post previously when it was on in the mid to high 90's, now its 102 ish and I've decided to quit griping, its hotter than a two-dollar whore on friday night near a navy base. Bring on November!

I posted a pic of a thermometer in an attic about a month ago. It was a bbq thermometer and I wondered how accurate it was In measuring air temp. It read 127 degrees. I went back to the same house today. The water heater in the attic flamed out. I had an air temp thermometer today.

Not enough oxygen to support combustion on a 40,000 btu burner.

Did you get any rain? We had sprinkles in Auburn. Not quite up here as hot but horrible humidity we’re not used to.
11 to about 2 dumped my son said I slept through it exhausted from the heat I guess it dumped for a while everything was dry when I got up at 5:00 except the grass thought the sprinklers came on ... knowing it had rained I looked at my trucks..... now I really have to wash them, 104.9 23% right now, was 90 at 11:00 and 30% it feels worse than the last few days

Yesterday, it was 103, here in SE British Columbia. Today it is only 100 so far. I spent ten hours yesterday cutting and loading firewood into the dump truck (a real 2 cords). I was so beat, the half mile walk to the house was more of a trudge than a walk. I was truly beat. Today, I just cut some more and finished loading the truck. I took it easy and drank a bottle of Gatorade and two of water. I don't know how much of my fatigue is due to the weather, and how much might be related to my age! Normally, I wouldn't be cutting wood right now, but I've been building fence and wanted to get these trees from inside the fence line before I string the wire. It rained one day while I was setting posts (65 of them), and it was wonderful! WH
