Lapua 6BR brass alternative question (for 30BR & 30BRS)

Lol I've got 40+ firings on 200 30br lapua.
I'm still not thinking of replacements ...

For those using Peterson brass for the 30BR does it seem to be holding up as good as Lapua ?

I made 30br out of peterson 6br, only lost about 7 out of 100 from crushing the shoulders in , prolly from not enough lube. I stepped them up with 6, 6.5 , 7 , then 30 mandrels. I run 35.2 grains in lapua and peterson. Lengths are the same , 1.510.

Wow!! Fireform without a bullet and you have very very little to expand.

I believe the 7br retains the old 6br remington short, case oal of 1.52 not the norma spec of 1.56.

I just measured one of my new old Remington cases unformed or anything done to them and they measure 1.552.

Option 1 will probably be just fine. I used Peterson in my 6BRX and the only draw back was I had to reduce the powder charge somewhat in order to stay away from pressure.

As Bill mentioned you will have to reduce your powder charge, I found excellent accuracy by reducing the load a full grain.
Lapua brass 35.2 gr. but with Peterson I had to back it down to 34.2
With the 35.2 load that I normally shoot in Lapua brass it came up 95 + % to the top of the neck in the Peterson and over compressed I could not get a consistent seating depth.
