Wow!! Fireform without a bullet and you have very very little to expand.I made 30br out of peterson 6br, only lost about 7 out of 100 from crushing the shoulders in , prolly from not enough lube. I stepped them up with 6, 6.5 , 7 , then 30 mandrels. I run 35.2 grains in lapua and peterson. Lengths are the same , 1.510.
I just measured one of my new old Remington cases unformed or anything done to them and they measure 1.552.I believe the 7br retains the old 6br remington short, case oal of 1.52 not the norma spec of 1.56.
As Bill mentioned you will have to reduce your powder charge, I found excellent accuracy by reducing the load a full grain.Option 1 will probably be just fine. I used Peterson in my 6BRX and the only draw back was I had to reduce the powder charge somewhat in order to stay away from pressure.
