You can lead a horse to water, but ........
Today, Redding once again proved what a class act they are and how they stand behind their products and do whatever it takes to satisfy their customer. In the instance case, I called Redding to see if there was something they could do with a Redding 6mmbr FL Die that I picked up a few years ago at an estate sale for $5. I"d put the die away and completely forgot I had the thing. And today I wanted to prep some 6br brass for a friend and was looking for a misc tool in a drawer and instead I found the die. SO I decided to try it out on some brass. And it resized the brass alright but the concentricity was terrible (.001 before resizing and .006 coming out...YIKES) Called Redding and spoke to a Tech explaining what all was going on. He said he'd send me out a new Decapping Rod Assembly (free of charge) as he felt that was the culprit and not the die itself (that after excluding other possibilities like the brass itself which I'd just annealed after it had been fired). And the Tech suggested that I remove the Decapping Rod and resize a good piece of brass and see what happens. Guess what, not only did the next piece of resized brass come out with a concentricity of .001, but I resized the .006 runout piece and the runout was now reduced to .0015. Doesn't get better than that and Redding once again proved to be a very worthy and knowledgeable manufacturer to buy from. Thx to Redding for the support!!!
