Redding vs. Forster? Opinions please ;)

Always good to hear the less expensive choice works as good or better. I don't own Forster dies yet, but will purchase a set next time I need dies.

I own two sets of Redding competition dies and they produce minimal runout. However the first bushing size I used in the 6BR dies produced more runout than when I switched to the next smaller size. Runout now is right at .001 on 90% of the rounds.

Since writing the article linked above, I acquired a Forster micrometer type seater for .308. I haven't run all the tests on it like I did with the others (which were .30-06) but I'm very satisfied with it and have shot great scores with ammo loaded with that die. I wouldn't hesitate to get another one. No qualms with my Redding or Wilson dies, just another good one on the shelf now.

Filp a coin both produce beautiful ammo. You benchrest shooters are from another planet. I'm among the Earthlings so on this world I use Froster above 22 cal. and below use any die that the bullet can be put in thru a window. Old clumsy fingers ;)
