Looks to me like it took this prosecutor whose motives may not have been pure to put a stop to something the board should have never let happen. The board needs to go next IMHO.

When the board is kept in the dark how could they really know however the right guy to take the helm is Colion Noir. It doesnt look like the court will make NRA pay but the defendants themselves. In a weird way Letitia James did the NRA members a favor because she went after real people whom have been fleecing us for decades. By the way I cant stand Ms James but in this case she will make NRA stronger again once confidence is restored.

I worked with Wayne in the late 90s, I believe it was, when my then employer and I were engaged my the NRA-ILA to help organize opposition to bear and mtn. lion hunting ban propositions in CA (which passed). [Trivia: That was the election night Universal Studios burnt down, we had to evacuate an adjacent restaurant.]
He struck me as a decent guy then, but life has taught me that hubris can ruin a previously good man.

To donate to large organizations is to become an enabler. It's unfortunate but that's the way it is.

For 20 years I donated all the marketing materials for a local charity, I had one rule and that was that my name not appear as a donor on any of their material. I made the donations because the cause was good and the people running it were honest.
I went to a fundraising dinner (paying my fee for the dinner) and was sitting at a table with other donors where I was berated for making them look bad because they insisted on using the fact that they were donors as advertising.

Two years later the management changed to people who I knew were unscrupulous and I dropped my support. I don't mind helping good people but theives can go to hell.

If you read the instructions to the jury, the award is to make the NRA whole hence NY should not get it. We need to see what the Judge does.

I'm venturing a guess. Time will tell.

The money is to be returned to the NRA. Two other people were also charged. The entire board needs to be replaced and criminal charges filed. The board has never filled its fiduciary responsibility, that would have stopped the thievery.

If it happened in NYC, why would anybody be surprised at any anti gun finding, be it the NRA or Firearms makers. I am surprised they didn't suck Donald into the mix.

Not an anti-gun finding. It's an anti corruption by LaPierre finding. He is to pay reparations to NRA, not the NRA paying fines to the state. No one is trying to financially hurt the NRA in this.
