It's that time of year. Let's see those kills.

It's that time of year again. Let's see those big and small game kills of the '18-19 season.

First one of the year for me, not a trophy, a doe with the muzzleloader. Will yield some nice roasts, chip steak and lebanon bologna. :)

Out yesterday 95 degrees, set up at 9am fantastic hayfield 204 with me as I knew the shots would be at 250 yards plus, shot only one before noon at 3pm rumblings of thunder and dark clouds closing in,all of a sudden at the fields far end 250,to 285 yards groundhogs began popping up everywhere big ones, the 204 is a hammer and in an hour I had 5 more for a total of 6,then the rain came and I packed it it,the 204 destroys them at the extreme ranges. Tally is close to 80 so far, have to count my empties. The one groundhog shot at 285 yards in back to a hit exit hole shown, the 35 grain Berger hollow point is deadly. That round smokes a coyote at 300 yards. The Velos 556 suppressor is totally awesome doesn't scare anything in open fields it's a 22 short sound signature.

Had a litter of kittens a few weeks ago. Momma went missing couple days ago. This guy was sitting up behind the house when we pulled in after picking some peaches. Went in grabbed the 223ai and 50gr b tips at 3800 and went looking. Climbed the hill and eventually saw it. Fired missed. Didn't move. Played the 10-15mph wind next shot and put it through the skull. Ended up being 410 yards via ONx. Glad I got it possibly the cat killer.

The green ear tag is used to mark deer that have been tranquilized for relocation(probably caught in a fence, rope). It isn't safe to consume the meat until the medication has been passed from the deer.
