My buddies wife dumped this bench leg last day of rife season
Edit: what we call a bench leg is a cross between mule deer and a black tail
I-5 being the border, everything west of the freeway is a black tail, as far as record books are concerned.
We all know deer don't cross the road.

I shot these two little savages with a 250-3000 Savage in south western New York Saturday while waiting for a buck to appear. A buck finally did appear but not until Monday. Not much in the way of a rack but my crockpot won’t know the difference

Here's a few shots of some local bucks killed by friends of my nephew.
1st up a blacktail taken in the Applegate unit
Muzzle loader next up is a husband and wife with a couple dandy bench leg bucks.
Ladies 1st, this lil buck was taken with a 300wm built buy Mark Skaggs... and finally a freaking toad that was shot last nite on the same property as his wifes.
I put on a spot n stalk last night myself on a wide heavy 3x3
I judged 30, buck was 40..
Wound up getting a second poke at him...
Judged for 60 and should have shot 50.
That'll learn me to leave range finder in the truck.

Caught a 4x4 chasing doe this morning closed the gap from 150 yards to 50...
Quartering shot aiming for off side shoulder I settled in and loosed an arrow....
Yup there's an arch in archery.
Broad head was sharp anyway

I’m on the edge of my seat now, that was just a warning shot! Go get him man! Throwing sticks at them takes a diligent person but the rewards are great!
