It's getting tough to support the local gunstore

but to their credit rather than switch stickers they were 'sticking' with their original prices until the old stock was sold.
That's what I've been doing, but it really cost you money, you got to replace it at todays prices.

I live in CA and might have something of an explanation of the insane Glock prices. No 4th or 5th generation Glock can be bought over the counter in CA. We have a "roster" of handguns that are purchasable. Nothing new and many old guns are not on the roster. However, there are a few ways to get around the roster; but that dramatically increases the price. For an off roster gun you can figure that the market rate (if you can find a seller) will be about 3 to 4 times MSRP. So a gun you all can buy for 500 goes for 1500 to 2000 in CA and might sell within minutes of being put up for sale.

The local gun shop here is selling Glock 19's for $2200 and can't keep them in stock. Insanity.

LOL.....Get a call from my 21 year old son 2 weeks ago. "dad...I just bought a t-shirt.....cost me $600.00. Me"???" ...."but....it came with a Glock 19 C Gen V blah, blah, blah...."! Trained him well!!! His first Gun purchase.

Funny thing back when you could not find a 22lr in the US after Sandy Hook I was in Canada and they had tons of 22lr at the Canada Tire--think this is like their Walmart.

I mean stacks of 22lr and not a round in a American store.

But you're also going to be selling that new inventory for a higher price. It's not like gold where you have to buy and sell against some fixed price over which you have no control.
Explain how gold has a “fixed price” over which you have no control?

Nice to see you haven't floated away.
