In contrast, the entire defense budget is ~825 BILLION Dollars.

In other words, we are paying about 36% more for debt service than we are for defense.

I've gotta say that the less I worry about it, and the more I give to The Lord, the easier things seem to be financially. Most of the worst things that might happen to us aren't gonna be prevented by a pile of money.

Money is pretty ironic really; it seems like the more of it ya have, the more of it ya want. If you give a bunch of it to someone, it's apt to do more harm than good. Folks put tremendous value on it, but the most valuable things can't even be bought with it. People hang on to it right up to the bitter end, all the time knowing that they can't take it with them where they're going. Hmmmmm. jd
