It's getting tough to support the local gunstore

My lgs said this time is worse than the Obama years. If that's true, it will be 3 years before we see a primer on the shelf. I was surprised to hear that.

Numerous wholesalers have closed their doors in the past 1 1/2yrs. Why? Sagging sales. Since the last national election sales have slow, and what did sell was selling at a. discount. After the last 3 yrs., none wanted to be caught with excess inventory, wholesaler or LGS.

If the public isn't buying, the LGS isn't buying and neither is the wholesaler,,,,,, and the manufacture isn't making much more than he thinks he can sell. It'll take awhile to catch up, and no one will want to be caught with excess inventory, like they did last time, when the rush slows. The election results and political climate (the peaceful protests) will have a strong bearing on how long this lasts. (I know of at least 5 wholesale businesses that have closed-up. Excess inventory they couldn't move)

I don't have a problem giving him $10.00 per 100 if I needed them. I'm sure I have more than he has. I wasn't complaining . He's in need of pistol primers. I have a stash and I don't load pistol anymore. Ca-Ching.....

I agree. That's very expensive normally but in the midst of a severe shortage it is what it is. I wouldn't pay it unless I was in a jam but when you figure all the rest of what it costs to be a precision shooter it's not the end of the world.

I paid $45/k for some Russian primers I came across a few years ago and was happy to pay it even though I'd stocked up on them at $13/k because they'll be even harder to find in a few years when I run out. Just the way the cookie crumbles. Want low prices, stock up when things are slow and on sale. Need supplies in a shortage, pay more
