It's a Sad Day in Oregon

Called a PTA,
Permit To Aquire in Ozstralia…
NO magazine more than 10rds, NO semi-auto long arms or pump action shotguns. You will have your firearm secured at all times and be subject to “Safe Storage” inspections at any time without prior notification, ammunition will be stored in seperate locked container {safes here have a seperate lockable compartment.}
Only time a firearm permitted out of Secure Storage is to clean or to transport, all other times it must be locked up.
Firearm will be transported to range or field in a secure condition, trigger lock or chained to secure point {most recommended to avoided any hassle} and not observable from the outside of the vehicle, ammunition in a seperate locked container, also recommended that bolt be removed but not required but grey area and up to inspecting officer if you are complying to safe storage/transport conditions.
Violation of conditions means immediate impound of firearms subject to court appeal for return.
State of West Australia has now introduced a limit to the number of firearms that can be owned by a licensed shooter….

Our freedoms in the US are one election away from this or even worse.

Here in The People's Democratic Socialist state of Delaware, we now have to go through the same process as a CCW applicant just to buy a handgun. It's all because of the low lifes in Wilmington, Dover and Seaford.
If you have a CCW can you just buy a handgun or rifle then just walk out of the store after signing some papers? You still can in Arizona. The shop my gunsmith owns used to have a drive up widow because it was a liquor store and a gun shop. You could drive up to the window, buy a short neck and a 45 , some ammo and drive off. It was not that long ago. Times sure have changed.

Not in WA, even with a CCP, you still have to pay $18 for state patrol background investigation and mandatory 10 day waiting period. Morons. :mad:

Looks like Three, count 'em, three bad pieces of legislation coming, and railroading through. OMG!

And the government will keep coming. Because comfortable people will continue to let it happen.

The next phase for other states, soon, the FEDDY government will with-hold funds from states that won`t comply. Once states see those FEDDY funds frozen, watch how fast these states will fold and comply.

It is the stepping stones to disarmament. Unarmed people are much easier to control. Just ask a criminal.

Let's see...What could go wrong with liqueur and firearms...???!
Aside from that, yes, you still can buy a gun in Arizona, show your CCW {which I have} and walk out...
First Pistol I owned came from Arizona Al's Gun Shop {now even the building is gone and a block of units occupies the location.}
A .45 auto for $45 + a handful of ball ammo to go along with it...
A pistol that I was not allowed to own in Californication due to me only being 18 and state law said no pistols till 21... and that after a 10 business days wait while the paperwork was processed to check whether or not I was a Crim.. {:~/

$18, must be a gratuity for getting out of their chair, walking across the room to do their job and call it a filing fee.

It's the start of a "tax" (term used non-governmentally) to increase the aggravation and price point of participating in the sport to the point where no one will be willing to participate. California (as usual) is leading the way: 11% excise tax on firearms and ammunition, $39 Dealer Record of Sale fee (includes background check fee, and is under consideration for increase), $1 background check fee for ammunition purchase (that's per purchase, and only if you have a record for a registered firearm in the system - $19 if you don't - this fee is also under consideration for increase), $12 Firearms safety certificate (knowledge test and permit) to purchase a firearm (good for 5 years.) All firearms transfers have to go through a registered FFL and have a background check run. All ammo sales have to go through a registered "ammunition vendor" and have a background check run.

But at least the state uses all that money to keep our society and infrastructure in good shape - NOT.

If you keep running away from these states, pretty soon there will be no place to run..
