Imperial Lube for sizing or car wax/juice?

Lanolin has a lot of waxy esters. But it isn't wax in the sense that carnauba wax is.

Ever sheared sheep? It ain't waxy. It's more oily.

Here is a thread on bullet making lube. Same ideas work for sizing lubricant.

One more idea to throw in the mix. It's mink oil that you use on your boots. Very slick and you don't need much. for easier application, hold a lighter unde the can until it starts to melt and you can use even less.
i hope this helps,
Lloyd

There are many products that will work as case lube. What I look for are those that I can get completely off of cases the easiest. RCBS Caselube II is in that category. It comes off completely by wiping with a wet rag.

Years back, I used the regular old, lanolin, RCBS case lube, and while it lubed well, it was a pain to completely remove from cases. I want my sized brass to be free of all lubricants, and to achieve that with some lubes requires the use of solvents that are not entirely safe. I am not saying that the slight residue from Imperial is necessarily dangerous, just that I prefer not to have any lube on my cases, and while wiping with a dry rag or paper towel will remove most of it, it does not get it all. Of course the good thing about our hobbies is that we get to decide how WE want to do them, which means that if if works for you, it is just fine.
