I wash in hot water with Dawn, put on a cookie sheet in the oven at 200* for a hour, it works for me.I'm new to 30 BR and have a lot to learn.
I got the cases straightened out and they cycle fine, so, thanks to everyone on that.
I have the cases necked up, trimmed and neck turned. It's a lot more work than I expected, but they appear to be in good shape. I did lose some cases getting everything like I wanted, but I expected that would happen. I am now set to repeat what I've done and maybe lose no more cases. I've done 40, so I'm ready to go shoot.
My question now is, how to get the residual Imperial die wax out of the inside of the case. There isn't much, but between the expanding and turning of the necks there remains some wax. I thought Brake cleaner would do it easily, so I tried that. It doesn't get it totally clean.
They looked clean, but a little wipe with a Q Tip reveals some trace amounts.
So, how do most people get rid of the wax?
I'm sure it's easy, but only if you know how.
SKWERLZ has it exactly right, OR so I'm think cause I have been doing that exact way for many a year.Tumble in walnut, corn or rice.
Or just load them up with a mild load and fire form them and burn it out.
I lube with oil clean with a cotton swab. I don't worry about what I don't get out.I'm new to 30 BR and have a lot to learn.

Yes! It works well that way for me too.im gonna sound like a broken record, but rice rice rice……..
literally throw them in your tumbler and forget it.
no harsh chemicals, removes and absorbs the wax as well as anything else (carbon) and leaves ZERO dust or anything on the cases.
Worst case you’ll need to pick a few grains out of 5-10% of primer pockets.
For those who don't use the die wax inside the case, what do you use on the expander when you expand the neck going from 6mm to 30 and on the mandrel when turning the neck?
I use this. I dip a Q-tip in it and swipe the inside of every 5th case mouth. Before they came out with Imperial dry neck case lube I used Motor Mica. Motor Mica is good stuff too.For those who don't use the die wax inside the case, what do you use on the expander when you expand the neck going from 6mm to 30 and on the mandrel when turning the neck?

I agree that one of the best tests for a clean case is to drop in some powder and if none stick, it's clean.Been using regular old alcohol for years to remove Imperial wax. Never a problem and clean cases. Use a Q-tip with alcohol on the inside of the neck and I'm done. I know the inside of the neck gets completely clean because when I drop powder in the case not a single kernel gets hung up on the inside of the neck.
