Good advice from a consistent winner. Pay attention out there!James... R15, CCi 450, hybrids and tune. You will be happy.
what could be better than a dasher as a backup to a dasher?
If I were wrong about the powder being inconsistent, I prefer to not name lots. I am not here to bring doubt in everyone's mind about their powder. Like Jim O'hara said, one will simply have to try several powders to determine which is best for their barrels. Good shooting...JamesThat would be a 6BR Ackley as a backup to a 6BR Ackley Dusty.
I asked James what lot of H4895 he was shooting but never heard back. 5825 and 7076 both shoot under 3” for me at 1K, well under. They chronograph at the same velocity.

Chuck, How can you say that, it is temperature sensitive powder ......... LMAO..... jim
I won more relays and matches with rl15 at williamsport this year than without it.![]()
Fred, that is what I'm getting at, I did test and found that temperature insensitivity has to be taken with a grain of salt. RL - 15 is good to go as any powder, I did well with it and I didn't have to hunt a good lot like Varget, H4895 and H4350...... I never found much difference in lot to lot with RL-15....... jim
I cant say as I know what the chronograph differences with rl15 were, I still dont own one of those. Maybe someday when I get good at this Ill buy one. But I will say the targets turned out pretty good, considering the conditions this spring.
Edit: I should clarify relay wins for group. I sure as hell cant shoot for score lol
I like the FRED part. Wonder where he got that name from. Fred and Ridgeway know what they are talking about.
