I want speed...

Speed Kills! I lean towards max velocity with good (1/4moa) accuracy. That is why I am giving serious thought to another 6-284. I did one 22-284; but the barrel was toast in about 500 rounds.

3400 fps with 115 Dtacs is not even taxing the brass, I've taken it to 3500 before signs forced me to back down
3400 is a comfortable zone even in 100F heat

My brother and I plan on building a 6-7prc. Necking down a 7prc to 6mm and we plan on running 87 to 90gr pills around 4000.

10,000 rims ain't chit, 3770 fps with a 1-12 twist is 226,000 rpms.

Thre speed and the rims are not the biggest killer, the amount of fuel your burning, and the more pressure you burn it under is the bigger killer.

It just depends on how much cake you like to eat,,,,,

I’d love more speed! I’m shooting the 80 ELD-VT in a dasher at 3200. I could push it harder. I was very happy with the bullet on my last pdog trip.

22-6mm ai 1-8 twist kills rockchucks way out there. Thinking on a fast twist 25/06 ai. I have a 1-10 now scary accurate real fast with 75 and 87 gr bullet i get 4000 fps with 75gr. But sure is hard on barrels. The 22-6mm doesn't seem to be as hard on barrel or should too hard i really like them both

The 25/06ai started showing some cracking at 600 rds or so still shot very good. The 22/6mmai not showing much wear at all at around 800 compared to the 25/06ai. The barrels are 2 different manufacturers and 25/06ai is button and 22/6mmai is cut rifled. So that could be the reason?? I would say in both if you shot fast and hot loaded life would be around 1000 just a guess. But that the price you pay for speed lol
