So I'm a poor and I reload and there's a range only 15min from my house.... So I'm a brass goblin :D
So yeah if I'm around town I'll always stop by the range and pick up brass . I'll tell you though something I cannot for the life of me understand about people is this. This is a public range with no RSO or anything so peoel leave their trash shot up boxes ECT all over the berms and stuff right

BUT !!! If their shooting something expensive like .300wsm they'll take their time to pick it up and throw it in the trash ! Instead of leave it on the ground like all the other trash they did , like somone explain that to me!
On the bright side got some .300wsm ,30-06 and plenty of 9mm ! Also found a clutch of .243 under a box at the 30yd berm.... I swear it's like prospecting for gold sometimes :D IMG_20230109_121336718_HDR.jpg

My opinion on this without sugarcoating anything is if you have not noticed, the growing number of swine that call themselves human is not shrinking they are multiplying, just like swine do.

What KMart said . Tommy Mc.

We have the same thing at a members only club. Just this weekend three of us board members volunteer time to do some work around the club and do memberships. We took a drive up around the ranges and we found where someone had a box with styrofoam on the inside of the lid like a small refrigerator box lid. They were good enough to carry it back off the range but it didn't fit in the trash can so they just set it beside the trash can for the wind blow it away. Ware not more than 50 ft away was a dumpsters that the club bought to help keep the place clean. So we took pictures of it and put it on Facebook and some of the club members responded with, we have cameras why don't you review the camera feeds and figure out who did it and punish them. That would be okay if we knew about when it was done but with no idea you have to look through hours of video and even at high speed it takes roughly 15 minutes to watch an hour. At that speed it's very easy to miss stuff also ask me how I know. So once again the board members and the six to eight guys that do all the work are now supposed to volunteer more unpaid time to track down the pigs and also clean up after the pigs. I just don't understand why people don't have more respect for their own club.

Relating to that kind of thing at ranges as well I feel fortunate to have my little 100 yard hole in the woods right here at the house. I can control all the trash or debris at all times.

I once had to be the adult once at a unsupervised public firearms range and get two morons to stop shooting skeet with a AR15. The really annoying thing was there over twenty adults at that range that day and it wasn’t until I spoke up and loudly called a ceasefire that some of the other supposed adults chimed in. It was the threat of calling the police to get these young arrogant twenty something guys to stop. Less than one mile directly behind the range are homes. Since then that firearms range has been shut down for all the idiotic morons who totally disregard common sense firearms safety rules.

These are the same kind of a-holes that would: shoot a propane tank with a rifle/pistol, shoot a skeet house with same, intentionally shoot at a bird or something in the trees ignoring the 200 yard berm(the nearest landowner has had his machine shed shot through and punctured a can of spray paint)!!

Because they know that there are others that will, and likely have for their entire lives, cleaned up after them! I watched a group of 20/30 year old shooters bullshit at the 100 yard line while watching a group of volunteers change the backstop boards. None of them bothered to even ask if they could help. Needless to say, we volunteers made the 15 minute job last 2 hours. Yup, they just sat on their butts the entire time!

Yea it all sounds well and good to blame the younger generation, but this has been going on since I was a kid. Go to the range and see 4 or 5 TVs shoot to pieces and garbage every where. We had a nice spot to go shoot on the side of a canal. Then teenagers would go shoot skeet or trap and stay the night and camp then they got drunk and into a fight and it was gone with a gate put up.
