I can't make this up, no matter how hard it is to believe.

Have to respond to the open range folks. I agree, what a great deal to live in an area where public land is plentiful, and close. Or, better yet, you have your own privat
For those that hunted Africa, you know about the skills of experienced native trackers. For those that haven't, these guys can find a drop of blood, a fragment of bone or a clump of hair and track wounded animals for miles and in the end find them. Not sure if this will appear but here's one of those "guys" like the OP spoke of.

That was hilarious! “Couldn’t track a dump truck thru the mud” - classic!

Thanks for that, Dale. Made my day! “We should have left him out there” was the best!:):):):):)

Outstanding!

Need another word . . . 'Funny', 'Hilarious', whatever, just doesn't seem to adequately describe this!

I guess I have been lucky. The worst things that have happened to me is someone ricocheting rounds off the ground at 50 yards into my target at 100 yards, the occasional guy touching his rifle when the line is cold and some guys complaining about not being able to shoot further then 200 yards because they couldn't keep all their shots in the black on the electronic targets.

I'm going to Africa in October, I wonder if this chap would consider going back?

To be fair, the rifle is probably good at 25 and 1000. The operator never mentioned himself being good at 1000. Y'all are putting those words in his mouth, so to speak. :p

Try owning a gun shop and listening to all the stories, You just have to grin and bite your teeth. One of these days one will catch me in a bad mood and I will probably lose a customer. You wouldn't believe how many one hole rem 7400's they are out there.

742, 7400 et al......however, I do have a bud who considers each and every rifle a personal accuracy challenge. W
He will tinker, trigger tune and potter around with them till 5/8 - 3/4" is achieved. Then either returns to cuz, nephew, uncle or random owner or sells. No challenge = no fun.
But I do know what you mean.

"TACKDRIVER" is my most favorite term. I just haven't seen any 2# tracks with 4" heads. Ever.

We should get @Field & Cave to make some accurate shooter model “tack targets” to see if they can drive them. Like a know your limits rack. Yes travis that idea was free buddy.

There is a fella down in Bay City, Tx that has modified one of these things and markets it as a deer feeder shooting corn. Has a hopper, timer, igniter and everything. The idea is to not have your feeder in your shooting area. It also keeps game from helping themselves. I can only imagine the pain if someone should be downrange when the feeder trips.

I just love that this is set to an elevator music version of Wabash Cannonball (who knew they made it into elevator music).
