Something seems to be scaring it. Tail tucked, ears back, next, needs a bullet through the chest.View attachment 1322595I thought I would share something you don’t see every day, this was on my neighbors game camera just below our hunting spot.
NO. Good plan. Once I find a great spot, I set the game(Cell) camera and only go back to replace batteries. That part is done on a rain day.I have my area determined , but the last couple months I have not ventured in too far so not to disturb the game i know live there, rather glass from a ways back.
My question is; Am I being over cautious ?
The one I saw today had his tail straighter while stalking a small herd of white tail, pretty amazing sight’ and the topper was that on the way back down the hill a black bear ran in front of the Jeep and up the hill into the woods.Something seems to be scaring it. Immature wolf I'm guessing. Pretty normal for them to posture in that manner most times. Especially when in the presence of the alpha.Something seems to be scaring it. Tail tucked, ears back, next, needs a bullet through the chest.

Good video. I believe the wolf howl would scare anything and doesn't have a whole lot to do with the whitetail species living in wolf territory hundreds to thousands of years ago. Deer can get used to things that they hear and see every day in their environment. I remember a local guy say 40 years ago when we didn't have a turkey population here locally, that the turkeys would scare the deer out of here. I have seen deer and turkeys feeding together many, many, times. I have also seen young deer and turkeys sparring in clover plots. Neither one showed fear of the other. They surely will run though when a coyote shows up.
Just FYI. Some published video analysis where the researcher played sounds of different predators near game cams.
The Big strutting Gobblers drag their wing tips on the ground making a clicking type sound. Pretty interesting to watch.Have a decent quick video of two crossing the road in front of me yesterday they were strutting in the road as I came around the corner but I don’t know how to post a video
