Hornady One Shot

Loaded many thousands of rounds from 223 to 50 cal useing hornady one shot. Have not stuck a case yet thankfully. I lube on a loading tray of 25 to 50 at a time let sit a min then size. Have a video of 338 lapua brass full length sizing in a shoulder die with one finger on the handle while sizing and then lifting back up. It works for me so i keep useing it.

Plain old lip balm works well, little on the neck and the body gtg. FL sizing(without the expander) doesn't require a lot of lube. Just keep the stuff off the shoulders and keep vent holes clean.
I've said this in the past a few times.
I don't think anyone believes it.

I use Imperial. I tried One Shot. “Ya gotta do this....ya gotta do that.....and still stuck cases!! I have three cans of the crap I’ll never use. Imperial is so easy and never fails to work. I just don’t have the energy to try to “make” something work!
I will gladly take those three cans of crap you will never use. I have used one shot since day one and have never had a stuck case maybe I’m just lucky

IMO the biggest advantage of One Shot is that you don't need to clean it off afterward, like you do with anything other lube (at least that I'm aware of.)

That said, my precision stuff gets Imperial wax, and either a wipe or a brief dry tumble to remove afterward.

For bulk stuff, it's a tossup between One Shot or Royal spray lube (Royal is sticky and requires a tumble to remove afterward.) Depends on whether or not I feel like tumbling when I start the process.

The fact that you don't need to clean the lube afterwards is the reason I use One Shot.

Also, not cleaning after must help concentricity. I've dropped brass and visibly dented it. I'm sure that tumbling brass can also make tiny dents

One shot cleaner& lube with dynaglide black can...I don't over spray but I do both sides. I kinda spin the case in finger and thumb motion as it's headed to the die.
Out of a million rounds (est.) I've stuck "0" .

I do pay attention to the pull back pressure. If I didn't get enough on that row pull back Will tell me a possible problem may be coming. Pay attention, feel for lube. If questionable add some, don't run a dry case ..duhhh ...

I do wipe them off before priming. They aren't as slippery. Also I am inspecting them by feel.

Lanolin and at least 91% isopropyl alcohol , guess I am just a cheap ass, been using the same spray bottle for several years

I guess some folks can't help but go with an off label use.
In the 60's I bought RCBS lube and their pad. No clue if it was -2
Since then I have bought 2 containers and one pad (got too dirty)
Lasted all this time and I reload more in the last ten years than ever before.
No stuck cases and no problems. Cost savings? You have to be kidding.
But if you think so put the money to going SILVER or GOLD.

I guess we would have to agree to disagree. I came by RCBS Case Lube and a pad in a trade deal back in the 60's. Unless something has changed, it is the stickiest, most awful stuff to work with ever.

Sure that's fine. In my line of work dirty (grease etc.) was common place so the sticky part never bothered me. Never a stuck case and it's what I'm used to.
As far as some home concocted stuff to save money.....well NO...I won't move on that.
BTW...I think their (RCBS) formulae has stayed the same as in the sixties.
And it's AMERICA so you can use what you want.

I went through two of those pads. They either had too much or not enough. Hated adding the goop and trying to work it into the pad .. Moved on when I found imperial, after sticking cases with One Snot.

FWIW, dirty hands were the norm growing up on the farm and probably 2/3 of my working life. I just see no need to use that sticky mess when there is an affordable, perfect working, less messy alternative. Wasn't trying to change your opinion. And yes, it's America where at least for the time being we can practice reloading with whatever case lube we choose. Please carry on.

Been using nothing but coconut oil for the last couple of years. Put a small amount in your hands, rub them together and then run the pile of brass through your hands a few times. Smooth as butter, great consistency in sized cases, never a stuck case, cheap, and lots of other uses. .223 to .284, all as smooth as can be. Still have a tin of imperial, but never use it anymore.

I too use One Shot, it’s fast, easy and it works. I do 50 cases at a time in a reloading tray. Spray them at about a 2 o’clock angle down, rotate the tray 180 and repeat. It’s dry by the time I get the can put away.

I also have a couple rcbs pads and case lube, slow and messy. No experience with Imperial.
