Hornady 6.5 147 ELD-M ???????????

is the .351 G7 BC for real and has anybody shot them in the 6.5x47L ?? I am currently shooting the 130 VLD at 2960 fps ,,according to JBM if the 147s will shoot as well as the 130s they would have to be in the 2750 fps range to be better than the 130s for my use,,if they shot as good in the 2800 range they would hold a foot better at 1,000 in a 10 mph wind,,

I may get some RL16 RL17 and see how they shoot and if I can get in the 2775 fps range,,,I am pretty sure I would hit pressure before getting much over 2700 with the 4350s or faster powders,,

any other powders that might get that speed and shoot accurately with the 147??

I am using the average G7 BC of .336 and it has been spot on in my testing with my .260 Ackley out to 1000. I am running 42.5gr of R-16 currently in Lapua brass with CCI #200 primers. My velocity is 2880 fps where they like to shoot best. I am holding five shot groups in the low .3's at 100 and well under half moa at 600 with this load. These are fired from a 26" Mcgowan 8 twist barrel.

This is a new load for me that I just worked up last month and so far has performed very well. I am definitely holding way less wind than I was with a 130 and less wind than the 140 Berger VLD. This is a bullet that definitely benefits from a larger case but I think this is probably the slickest 6.5 bullet on the market right now and only half the cost of the Berger.
