Subject was Red flag laws.Right now we have the support of the police and the military of the common sense man.I promise you the liberals are studying on how to get these forces to enforce gun confiscation all across the board.What worries me is the police and military are dependent on the government for a paycheck as it always has ,but that also leaves them vulnerable to whom ever is in power.They have families to feed also.In the right economic scenario this could get ugly real quick.As a soldier or LEO do you follow orders and feed your family or stand on principles and get fired.Recent evidence has shown ,Liberals want this opportunity bad and will do anything to make it happen.
Something about PRS skill sets being applicable for hunting. lol

That is something they can't do. the Military will either support gun owners and stay away from the issue... they will never support gun confiscation.

I don’t know who to reply to? Think about this, if this goes into effect, what’s to keep any of “them” from calling in on 3-4 of us? No reason, just they found out we own a firearm so we must be “bad”. If every 1 of them has 5 of “us” guns confiscated “we” are doomed. There is no recovery from that. I sincerely hope I am overthinking this, but, what if?

I don't know why some of you guys feel so confident that LEOs and the military wont enforce confiscation, it's a known fact that both did exactly that after Katrina. I served 20+ years in the military and I can tell you with confidence that most would simply follow orders and confiscate weapons if they were ordered to. Legally, the military has had Letters of Agreement with the local communities in which they agree to assist the police if ordered to. Nothing stops those Letters of Agreement from specifying that the military actually be enabled to use police powers.
I also remember some years back where a reporter went into prisons and interviewed convicted felons including some convicted of rape, robbery and homicide and simply asked them if when they were planning their crime of choice would they rather approach a situation where their intended victim would be armed or unarmed and would it matter. The responses were unanimous.....guess which way.
You are absolutely right. But that was then, and this is now. Somebody will end up dead.
The only way someone will end up dead is if someone is mentally sick.
The one thing that bothers me most about most of the mass shooters is the fact that, after the fact, two or three “agencies” will acknowledge that this person was on their “radar”. Discounting repeat violent offenders, felons in possession of firearms illegally, outright mental cases, those out on bond from previous arrests...the actual pool of those that plan terroristic acts narrows considerably. How many visits to a home by law enforcement in regards to a ‘problem’ child does it take before they realize there actually is a problem? I don’t think our levels of law enforcement - or separate agencies, for that matter - bother to communicate. Too many loose ends at every level. My opinion...
