HELP... Bubble Inside Scope

My scope just developed a bubble on the inside lens.. Its a front focal plane scope and when I take a flashlight and shine/look down the end you can see the inside lens moving back/forth or bigger/smaller as I adjust the power in and out.. The bubble can be seen on either end of the scope(proper use or as described above... How did this occur when I haven't been in water or chipped the inside of the scope... Help!

Are you certain you aren't looking at a piece of dust? Which scope manufacturer?

This is obviously a question for the manufacturer. Is this causing the scope to malfunction, or is it something you noticed during your flashlight inspection? Call the maker.

It's a great scope! It's a Premier.. I just shot a match a few weeks ago and just yesterday I noticed the bubble come into sight when I powered the scope down.. It looks just like a chip on a front car window looks like (when hit by a rock from a car tire.) Or it looks like a bubble or water droplet... I don't know??? I may just have to send it to Tangent Theta for a look over but I have Woody's long range match to shoot around the 20th of this month..

Weaver had a similar problem with their new scope , think it turned out to be some sort of lubricant not sure though ???

I doubt it's chipped because it's on the inside lens where the cross hair is... Coatings are on the outside lens...

I've been told it's lube from the maker.. Now I have to pay to have darn lube cleaned up!!! Pay for,,, shipping at least!!!

I've been told you were right.. Scott at Liberty said it's lube...
