A BETTER BUBBLE LEVEL????

You all know that scope bubble levels can be a PIA--You take most any bubble level no matter the price and when you put it on a flat surface--then swap ends--you see they are not very accurate--I found these $9 levels on Amazon and the big selling feature is that it has two set screws Under each end of the level--you can adjust it to get it correct. I like this style as most that go around the scope make it hard to get to the underside fastener with a TQ wrench etc
I placed 8 levels on a surface plate the other day--note the position of the bubbles--then swap ends and wow! Even $$ bubble levels can be off--I think the glass tubes have taper in them --who knows but these levels at least address the issue and let you fight back a little--for the price it is worth a gamble--I like my first one a lot and plan on a few more.

I just ordered an Unknown Mutitions rail mounted bubble level. Not really any reviews that i could find, but claims to be made in the USA. I will check back in after I get it.

My favorite is the Flatline Ops tube mounted levels. I think the reaction of the bubble to tilt angle is really good. Since they're rather expensive I have a couple Vortex levels and try to deal with the twitchy bubble response.

Have the Vortex scope levels on both of my Comp rifles . Not a minutes problem in six years .

The level solution is a good one. And, yeah, I bet the bubble tubes aren't the most exact in the world. Used to have machinists levels but they are overkill for scope use/mounting.

I have the ones that clamp to the sight. I think I have a Burris and Vortex and they both work well. I also have one that goes on the pic rail, but, it is one I did on the 3d printer. Works ok but is harder to see.

I agree the adjustability of the level is a great idea. I have some similar to the OP's, but without adjustability and they have worked well for me. As long as I place the bubble in the same location vis-a-vis the lines, it's all good, level or not. Repeatability is what I'm going for. But I do like those QPongs.

I agree with the price
I have had bubble levels in everything from a cheap tape measure to a writing pen
They are not that complicated of an instrument and should not be that expensive
Great find for $9.00 !!!

Yes, I have one and was able to get the Tritium insert for them from a site in China…
They were made for the Gomer-ment and they did get the ones with tritium…
Let’s you see the bubble ball in the dark and low light situations…
Tritium is a radioactive gas that is put glass tubes or other transparent shapes and it the always glowing watch illumination. Lasts for about 10-13 years.
There is a rubber plug that covers the area that the tritium tube goes into.
Easy to see and the ball does not roll so quickly as a bubble moves in some anti-canting levels.

I have been using this level for a number of years after trying different levels. I mainly use it to ensure rifle is level in the rest. the only thing is the mounting screws are at the bottom so a little tricky to tighten.

Only 1 problem with all bubble levels. While reading making changes they are slow to respond. An electronic level will react 10 times faster minimum.
Yessir ! that's the reason I went with MDT Send It electronic level on my 1K competition rifles, and you can adjust the sensitivity
