Who is Del Webb?
No income taxes would be good as sales taxes are ridiculous in most of Arkansas. Was there 2 weeks ago taking care of my mom after she broker her hip, 10 cents sales tax and 11.75 cents at restaurants, that’s ridiculous. I left Arkansas 11 years ago when the Air Force sent me to AK. I actually pay less for groceries and ammo here now than in Arkansas, and housing in Arkansas is quickly catching up to what it is here in AK.
I agree with you to a point. And I am sure that fellow shooters would be a great addition to any community. I have a bad taste in my mouth about immigration to the south because I have seen what happens when they get involved in local government and install the very problems they left behind. In other words, if I move to your community I will try to fit in and be a part of it and in a perfect world, I could expect the same from someone coming to my community. But, that has not been the case.

In a perfect world Liberals would not exist, teachers would be armed to protect our children, and politicians would actually care about this country instead of their own personal gain. Such is not the case.
You have your work cut out for you. Let us know where you pick.
I've lived all over. A real answer would be to have a few extended vacations in places you think might interest you. No one knows what you would like better than you.
Some suggestions since you are retiring.
Most people enjoy South Carolina. It's cheap. People are nice and down to earth. Beaches are alright. Weather is pretty mild.
Tennessee is very beautiful and has 4 seasons and isn't too crazy expensive if you avoid Nashville.
Georgia up north is very beautiful and the people are also nice.
Once you get out of New England things are generally cheaper and the people are nicer and gun laws are better.

These idiots around here will vote themselves a tax everytime it comes up on a ballot. We gotta get new leadership in to reset all those “road taxes” and “school taxes”. Sarah huckabee says we can reset all that plus eliminate the state income tax. We have over a billion surplus right now. She will most likely be our next governor, maybe she can get something done before walmart gets in her pocket

What always got me, as a new home builder we paid huge school impact fees included in our permit packages. One day while building close to a school the principal came out to have the guys remove their cars from the side of the street to give the buses more room! I replied that we were ‘not her problem’ and she should look at the line of cars with soccer moms picking up the kids while the buses I paid for are basically empty
Yeah, I never understood why people voted on taxes so quickly there. My mom lives in Cabot and the hamburger tax they passed 25+ years ago never did go away. Granted, I’m not in bush Alaska so our prices are not outrageous on most things. Now gas and property taxes well, we are a lot higher than you in AR. I bought a gallon of milk for $3.29 at our Target here and it’s $3.99 at Wal-Mart. Yes I pay a 2.5 cent sales tax in town, it’s capped out and only in the city limits. Bought a gallon of milk in AR at Wal-Mart 3 weeks ago and it was $4.04 plus my receipt said 10% sales tax though I though groceries was capped at 6% there. Anyways other items very comparable and lots even more than I pay here for the same thing.

He's a dead guy. But the land development company that he started builds retirement communities complete with shopping, restaurants, the works. Look up Sun City in the Phoenix, AZ area, more golf courses per capita than anywhere on the planet.
Might want to look up Bugsy Siegel while you’re at it.
Yankees bringing there liberal politics and beliefs are the biggest problem in Florida. And I am lot saying Yankees are all bad. My good buddy is from the U P. But I'll tell you, if you told me 35 years ago my hunting partner once I got old would be a Yankee ginger, I'd have probably slapped you lol
