Heck, It’s Cold!!

Maybe John Kerry can start preaching on climate change, cause it’s still cold in the winter and hot in the summer. Have no idea why?
Ya right, a couple days can tell lies about anything! I have a place on 3 lakes in Michigan, in the past 3 years they ain't had safe ice on them for more than a week or 2. In 70 years anyone telling me would be fly fishing on any lake in MI. New Years DAY, I would have said ya, right, good freakin luck!

We use to be ice fishing before Christmas, and usually around Thanksgiving. Me and the wife spent New Years Eve there 2 of the past 3 years. So this year I did take this picture, 50 degrees. 1000001264.jpg

I for one live in Northern Ohio because I prefer this weather this time of year. But make no mistake this is normal, hopefully it last till March, that's getting closer to normal, but we are well above to start another year, just like the past several years.

But that's a pretty good observation from a state that don't know what winter is supposed to be. That's just a couple cold days to make up Fer hottest weather Texas has seen with more days above 100 than what? Ya maybe a month of this would be abnormal. Just what I've noticed in the last 70 years.

65 million years ago, dinosaurs went extinct due to global cooling(ice age). No cow farts, internal combustion motors or deforestation. Was it an asteroid hit, volcanic activity or just a simple shift in the earth axis? We sure think a lot of ourselves, that we can control weather(climate change is weather occurrences over a VERY LONG TIME). What a scam kids have been sold, and how sad parents have caved to 2nd graders "fears". And all the lies are about is the destruction of a nation. Dig deep, the technocrats behind climate change believe the world population is 5 billion to high. War, disease, and famine is the only way to get there.

It been cold here in northern part of Colorado, are high was 5 degrees. Went into the garage / shop and it was cold enough that the snow was still on the snow blower from clearing neighbors driveway and my sidewalks. This is the 3 day of single digit or below zero weather. A small price to pay for living in such an amazing area. Keep warm all.

It clobbered us pretty good but I've seen worse. The first round gave us 13 wet inches the second was 11 inches but at least it wasn't as wet. The grandson was out until midnight last night working with county LE and rescue rescuing stranded motorists with his snowmobile. He stopped for a bite to eat on the way home and when he came out the sled was frozen solid wouldn't turn over. He plowed to much snow into the wrong places. The winds were horrible creating blizzard conditions. When my wife and I were kids on the farm we would get snowed in for one to two weeks at a time. I walked to school. My wife would go out to the barn and saddle one of the horses and ride to a farm that was on a main drag that had a plowed road where she would catch the school bus..Wind chill last night was -42 and they are forecasting the same for tonight.

I'll offer this one up for the 'thin skins' from down south. I went out to put out a little seed for my bird friends. I wasn't planning on being out there for long, so I didn't see much point in bundling up. It was 35 BELOW.

A couple of friends and myself thought today would be a good test day at Tomball. Nice overcast, kinda clear.

Except it is cold. 28 degrees with a straight north wind.

Now, that might not seem cold to all of you that live further north of the 29th latitude, but for us reptiles down here, it’s close to hibernation time.

But, any day at the range is a good day………I think,:)View attachment 1512436
Cold is relative brother. 28F for me is called Fall, but when you are used to 50’s for a low, 28F is damn cold.

-34F, -43F, -44F the last 3 days, hitting -50-52 with wind chill, threatening rolling power blackouts, had an emergency notice on the power grid yesterday, people unplugged their Teslas and voila. Plastic parts in natgas regulators breaking, propane not working, few 50ft snow snakes out and about. Dog has hippity hopped back into the house a couple of times, usually less than 4 min outside. Says -38F out there at the moment, may warm to around the -20 mark in a couple of days. Life in Canada.
