Dasher dome guys visit rocky river range

We had Randy(birdog) and Shayne to our range yesterday, it was cooold and switching winds but a great day. We started at 1000 and ended up at 1450 yards shooting an array of paper, steel and small coke bottles. Great times with nice guns and new friends. Enjoyed getting to shoot a cheytac too! Couple of pics and two 1000 yard groups on a cold windy day. Can ya tell it’s cold;-)

ttfreestyle started off the day by calling his first shot. He was going for a cold bore, first shot hit at 1000 yards on a 8 x 12 inch plate swinging from the 1000 yard target frame.
He pulled it off. First shot was a center punch.
I knew I was in deep $hi% at this point. I dialed my 284 up to 1,000 and touched off. Elevation was perfect but a few inches right. I dialed it in and somehow my second shot centered the plate.
These guys boys know what they are doing.

Next time we will get David to cook for us, he makes a mean brisket! In warmer weather though.

Very cool, but it doesn't look too cold. Hard to tell the exact temp in a picture.



In this pic it was around -10 to -15 Fahrenheit with the wind making it closer to -35 f.
Wind was blowing hard making visibility very limited and almost all rural roads going east or west were closed. We made it to the range because buddy has a very modified Jeep only vertical mountains can stop.
