I have over 100 Wilson bushings in both steel and plated, and probably 75% or more of them have the .0005 taper on one end...

Id be changing brands. A tapered neck bushing has to be bad for neck tension. I know my redding, crt, and mundy carbide ones do not have a taper. The rcbs ones are even marked on the side because they go either way. I do have a set of certified pin gages to measure them too- not that it matters as long as my tension is good on the paper

That is just an example of poor machining and "made in hurry".
To heck with the quality, got to keep those profits up.

I have been using them for decades and have not had a single issue with any of them. I also make my own hand dies / arbor press dies, and the Wilson bushings are the little kitty's meow!

Now that i think about it every benchrest shooter i know of uses reddings if theyre not using carbide. Never seen a wilson bushing at a match- maybe this is why?
