My ideal tool room lathe would have variable freqency drive, no gearbox, electronic lead screw/threading, 13x40 bed, 16C collet ready spindle, A2-5 chuck mount, spindle 15 inches or less long, 4-5000 lbs weight. Scale resolution to tenths on both axis. Digital readout on the tailstock quill. Coolant system. Build it and I will buy it.
