I understand that. Theres an m300 on there for 5k as well. Most times those old lathes are better than a brand new one for precision.

Most of you are too young to be aware of the Trav A Dials. Use one once for threading and other operations and you'll use nothing else. Way easier to read than flashing numbers.

Looks in better shape than most I’ve seen and it’s green. Green’s were manufactured in and came from the UK, not asia like the later white ones.

I can't think of any instrument I'd rather have for threading; especially internal threading where you can't see the tool.

I always used a 2" travel indicator on a magnetic base. Like you my mind couldn't process flashing numbers but I could see the needle rotate.

Yah, I get it man. But it's OLD, and it's in New York, sight unseen. It could be a total piece of junk.

Might not. But sure could be. No returns. $600 freight to find out.

Id take that machine over any taiwanese lathe or 2 chinese

That is a Taiwan lathe.

Threading, tenon length, counter bore depth etc. So quick and easy.

Mine is on a magnet. I just slide it over, tap it with my crescent wrench to zero and im back going again

I was wrong. That is a UK lathe.
