Hence the recommendation to full length size, bump the shoulder .0015"-.002" without the expander ball, then use a mandrel to insure that the ID is perfectly round.Might be a topic for another thread but a friend of mine who builds, loads and shoots seems to think the ideal die would size the neck from the OD as well as the ID simultaneously. If you collet the od are you not changing the ID? This is why I thought neck turning is a good thing. removing the irregularities before the collet ring moves the irregular material to the ID ?

I’d stick with Berger, I didn’t like the rdf bullets. Punching steel or something would be finePay close attention to the second picture. I just reached in the box and grabbed one for a photo op.

You can cut it off, sand everything, epoxy it back on let the glue squeeze out the gaps & voids, you’ll just have a black outline of what once was…
