Getting Ready for the Nursing Home

Well since I dont have any family to speak of that would help me, I figure when (if i get there) I cant take care of myself, Ill be sentenced to the nursing home. So I've been separating my magazines to take with me to give me something to do I hope they let me bring them all with me Otherwise Accurate Shooter may be my only entertainment. . Of coarse if Im the only man in there Mabie there would be something else to do afterall

I thinking DVDs, music and movies, although my daughter said she'd never put me in one after seeing my dad in one. I hope she remembers what she said but I do have another daughter as a backup.

wow thats strange. Really those places cost so much they would probably take everything I have in a few years, so Im not sure how much it matters. I just hope I dont get put in a double (two in one room). Give me one last pull of the trigger if that happens.

Not too sure about all those "hens" tho, one is enough for me to deal with.

Maybe you could "digitize" your collection in some way which would definately reduce the storage space requirements.

A lot of retires come to Florida. Now the local health dept is saying the group living in nursing homes and assisted living has had the highest growth rate of VD over all age groups. All due the officials say to Viagra. Maybe it won't be so bad!!!

I used to save old magazines, until I needed space for something else. I advertised them on a forum for shipping cost and someone bought them! When you think about it, they're made to throw away.

Unfortunately this is the tip of the iceberg.In 08 There was a gas field developed just south of Mammoth Cave our gas company built a 12 million dollar nitrogen clean up plant for this field.I knew the foreman of the company laying the 25 mile maze of lines ,so with his input I felt the project was legit.Turned out it was a scam,the two operators set themselves up as middle men with a license to steal and they did.I lost my whole retirement 250 k.I waited 5 1/2 years for a trial.This was the first real insight as to how corrupt,incompetent,and indifferent our society had become.Mollett vs. Recourse Energy Technologies.5 years ago I was building a sports complex in Greenville Ky.5 baseball diamonds 4 tennis courts and 4 batting cages the money from this was to finish the house I was building at Lake Barkley ,just wanting a happy place where I could die in peace.Well the wife's son brought his drug problem to the job one too many times and got his nose broken for it.I didn't know the General contractor were the biggest crooks in the area,they fired me while owing 100k I didn't have the money to fight em I lost it all.The story gets better ,during that time the step son of 35 got busted for dealing meth and was flipped to do under cover buys .The WIFE kept this from me or he wouldn't be on the job.Now you talk about over a barrel,I got to have a place to sleep that's who's fault it is.

Yeah I’ve thought about doing that a lot of times. I do have a fair amount invested though and you know I may need some of that Info “someday”
I’ve got the space for now so I’ll keep them. That may change someday.

Yes for anything I can buy on dvd I do. It would take a lot of time to do them myself.

We all find ourselves in bad places at times. The true test is what we do to deal with it.

Can’t go back back and change the past. Expensive lessons hopefully learned and not repeated.

Sounds like you see where you are and know where you want to go. Execute your plan to get there starting today with the first step. It’s sure as hell not going to all be easy. Sure, you may stumble and fall along the way. We all do. Get up, readjust if need be, and keep doing what it takes to make yourself happy. It’s up to us to live our lives like we want to and be happy. I refuse to let any person take my joy.

My Dad use to say “I am not responsible for how you treat me. I am responsible for how I treat you.” Those that live life screwing others will have to answer for what they do-sooner or later.
