German Salazar Has Passed

I never had the privilege of meeting German Salazar, but years ago when I was searching data on turning necks, I found his turning information. It answered all my questions and made it quite easy to get started. I was a big fan of his from then on.

Those kind of mentors, that willingly share to all levels of shooters, are special.
May he rest in peace knowing he made a great contribution.

German was an important person to the shooting community. Always helpful and very dedicated! I am very sad about this.....

Just found out German past away June 21st. He gave us as shooters a ton of information and helped me personally several times over the years before he quite shooting.
Rest in peace German.

So sorry to hear this condolences to the family ❤️

When I started working for the site several years ago, I asked Paul, the Forum Boss, some questions regarding getting started, etc. He just said to get a hold of German and he can walk you through it. I did and he did. A wonderful man and a great resource. He will be missed by many.

Met German at Malabar twenty years ago, my first trip down for the OBR. We shared more than just shooting among our interests, turns out he was an avid bicycler too, something I've just returned to after a decade's hiatus.

I went Googling for his contact info a few moments ago only to learn he'd left us all behind more than a year ago... I'm very sad to have to learn of this this way.

We also shared a birthday, once in awhile I'd beat him sending birthday greetings in the years since we discovered this little bit of trivia... but his usually arrived before I could send mine in reply.

Rest in peace German, you were a good friend despite the distance separating us these last many years.

During the middle of the pandemic, I purchased quite a bit of IMR 4320 ftrom a guy for a great price.

German's article "Forgotten” IMR 4320 Powder Yields Great Results is the first article that popped up whenever I researched the powder. Today I shot some 69SMK in my 223 loaded with 4320 and had some really nice results

Who's Going to Fill Their Shoes ?
He shared a immeasurable amount of knowledge with the world.
Sad to hear of his passing.

Hal
