Gentlemen, I present... the ".220 REDLINE"

Sorry you folks can't handle a little criticism, maybe next time you don't jump down a persons throat if they don't stroke your ego.. Just a thought

I would have been happy to explain my experience, but one would rather take part in slander.. Each is their own..

All I've heard from you on this thread are smart ass comments. There hasn't been anything of substance from you. If your purpose here is to do nothing other than stir the pot, you have done well. Thumbs down to you.

Would still welcome learning the better way to achieve same performance from a .224 caliber short action cartridge?

Take your time, I'm heading to the range to have some fun testing...

I won't get in a urinating contest. As mentioned you give an opinion with nothing to back it up? Throw some numbers and results out here, I am sure folks would be interested.

The cars and horse power talk of years gone by, have to agree.
Kid down the street has a couple of toys. As mentioned no one ever said to much horse power. The problem was always getting it to the ground, keeping four wheels down and not just boiling the tires off. His Camero is almost ridiculous to what it does, close to 900 HP.
His other old sleeper looks like moms grocery getter from 1964, Nova wagon. It is healthy, when that supercharger comes to life long I out.
Need to tune either, get the lap top out!

A lot of progress has been made in 20-25 years, cars and guns.

There are a lot of new powders and bullets that give some cartridges a new look on life. Even making an old one even better.
One for example, my findings on reloader26 the WW 270 and a 150SST. Unheard of 20-25 years ago. I am lucky as my bone stock rig shoots this amazingly well.

Do you drunk alcohol ?

Great thread, even though Ray took a dump on it. I admire all the work you have done and also the documentation . Great Job .

Let's move on from the beat down. Can we Just focus on Fredo's accomplishment. Meaning has been taken. Point made.

So far I don't see anything Earth shattering - Big Case, Small Bullet - Was Done 60 years Ago............... And yeah we have new powder but the law of physics is still in place regardless. ;)

That may be an "eye of the beholder" view. Personally my bank can't finance it. If it could, maybe I'd be more investigative in that area looking for the Holy Grail of the subject.

Small bore big case "has" been around for years , so has the terms over bore ,throat erosion.
Trajectory, wind drift,
All Which has been improved upon over the years, and in every advancement "somebody" had to spend time, energy, money,to find the balance required,
If you listened to every objection or critic, you would have no advancement !
So I for one am glad to see someone stretching the limit's
And keeping me informed in the process (big thanks !!)
If the 220 redline falls flat on its face, you have learned from it !
On the other hand it could just be the best thing since sliced bread, time will tell ??
But one thing for sure if you don't try you won't know !!
FREDO
I thank you for keeping me informed !!
And you're willingness post videos, photos, and general discussion,

Steve

Fredo- maybe I haven’t seen all your posts on the 220 redline- will you be using a chrono from day one while working up? This is for my curiosity sake more than anything. I’m currently putting together my first 6mm Rem Ackley after years of fantasizing about one.
