Let me see if I have this right. With the mention of the DOC it sounds like your wife collects a pension plus social security and in nine months you will too. In your previous post you mention that you two have been preparing for this for 30 plus years and are set up financialIy. If that is the case, you are in better shape than a large percentage of the population who have come to rely on a 401K that carries no such financial guarantee. If that synopsis more or less sums it up, I am left scratching my head over this crying poor thread. I say count your blessings and be thankful for what you have. You will still figure out how to collect more toys. A lot of people reading this thread wish they had it so good. Amazing what people will bitch about.

I think this guy’s obituary showed up about the same time this video was made. Showed my wife, who thankfully has a sense of humor but it definitely made her brow crinkle a bit. Lmao

I don’t know if you are funding future shooting for when you are retired or for now?

If you’re working that much overtime how do you also have the time for shooting?

I like 4 10’s for a work week schedule, and budget accordingly to have as much me-time as possible. Less hours, more $/hr to me is the key. I could not imagine voluntarily choosing to work weekends and holidays. I work some with my job, on call some, couple hundred hours of overtime a year. If I had my choice I’d work zero overtime and I’d be fine. Maybe I live like a poor?

It's not that I don't have funds, it's simply the way I intended to do it.

Best laid plans and all? YOUR plans but maybe NOT "someone else's" plans??
Maybe you need to look at the bigger picture?

Remember that NYC ( correctly City of New York) is virtually the exact opposite in every way from the of New York State.
