Awesome forum!!!

I have been reading a LOT of threads on here about the .260 guns and specifically the 6.5x55

It seems like every question I have has been popping up in the search results..Very cool..I talked my spouse into funding my 40th B-Day present(a 6.5 build) and this forum has been very informative on the 6.5x55. I have been shooting and reloading since I was young but have been out of the "Shooting" scene for a while and this forum has got me all fired up about spending time at the range and at my friends gunsmithing shop.. Thanks for providing a great forum for folks that would have to spend 20+ years learning all of this stuff on their own. I'm sure I will have questions in the future but the search engine is working very good for now..Thanks for having me on the forum..Hank

Yes this is a great forum and agree with you a 1000% Keep up the good work at home because after cruising this forum all the time you are going to want to have her fund some more new projects ;D

Thanks dtucker for the warm welcome. I haven't had a gun built since the early 90's so I think it's time to take the plunge again. I work for the FD and I'm off 20 days a month and all the meals I cook for my lady and taking care of the offspring has earned me a LOT of gold stars on the fridge chart :)

That's why I'm "Cashing In" on those points with this build. I'm not going to spend any crazy money but I think I will probably hit the $1300 range without optics. I was going to rebarrel my 6mm with a .260 barrel for a 260 but I decided on a 6.5 swede instead. Now I need to figure out if I'm going to find a used 700 long action or drop the $800+ for another custom action. I guess I need to search the forum a little more :) I ordered a rock creek barrel, have a possible stock already. Just have to work on getting input from folks about some options in my budget for a good action. My gunsmith buddy is going to do all the smithing. I can't wait to get it started. Adios' for now. Hank
