So, this is likely why he feels so strongly about this subject. It seems I remember he had the same issue with GBA but this explains everything in my mind.
Now, from my standpoint, I admit I haven't looked at any rankings or points in a while. I had some fairly serious health issues that began in 2024 and got worse in 2025. I'm a lot better now but still have after effects. I haven't been able to shoot so I just haven't thought about things like points.

I started this messed up thread, Asking about life time points numbers being updated, I have contacted ever contact on the Web site multiple times and have had no response, so I tried this. I don't think that is asking too much from the origination.

If you want it maybe you should take on the job officially. Contact Jim Bauer and tell him you will take the job. It takes an army of volunteers to do all the work. I did the full year points for a local club match and I just can't imagine the time it would take to keep them for all the clubs that have become Freedom sanctioned since it started. Also, some MDs fail to see an urgency to send those point totals to the statistician as well. That is like herding cats!
As small an org as GBA was they couldn't keep up with theirs either.

maybe I'm missing something - A few months ago, you made an inquiry on this and reported back that the update was ready and just needed to be uploaded to the web site.

This is the most pro shooting comment on the entire post. Recommending solutions, volunteering to help and giving feedback, whether positive or constructive (without an agenda) is how to grow the sport. I’d like to thank you personally, Ethan!

As a match director I believe its time to shut this thread down. 102 reply's and no answers to fix the problem. As for my club, I had health issues this year and I may have forgotten to send in match #2 but I know for sure I sent in matches 1 and 3 and only match 1 is posted. I don't know what the problem is or have a fix for it. Sorry. But I do know it is a lot of work at the club level and only gets worse as it goes to national level.

Bottom line is with all the different rules used at different matches, points and thus Shooter of the Year become meaningless. There is simply no way to award points fairly when clubs are able to follow their own rules. There is a solution to this though, just shoot the matches you want and do your best to win but realize you aren’t going to get points that really mean anything.

Hard and fast rules (Williamsport and IBS) are necessary to keep everyone on an even playing field and are the only way points can really be awarded.

Fortunately for me, I like to travel to the biggest matches I can find. I have never shot an entire season at one club (maybe in retirement) so points don’t matter to me. I’m there to push myself to shoot smaller and smaller groups and be competitive in every match I shoot. I refuse to let grown men, who can’t get along, interfere with me having fun at a match.
