Forster Co-Ax Press, Is It Really That Much Better

I had issues getting consistent shoulder bumps with the Co-Ax; I had it for 3-4 years. Tried the Area 419 Zero Press out and the issue went away. I then sold the Co-Ax

For single stage presses I use three Co-Ax and one Rock Chuker and I have never had problems with any of them. When the kids were home I ran those 4 presses, a Dillon 1050, 2 Dillon 650's and a Dillon 550, now I am down to to 2 Dillon 550's and the four previously mentioned single stage presses.

So a few years back I got the coax bug and bought one from Brownells. I tried for 2 weeks to get the press set up in a way that I found comfortable to resize and seat. I couldn't. I tried mounting the press a few different ways and no matter what I did I found it awkward to places cases on the press and even more so removing them from the press. It for sure messed with my work flow. I just couldn't get comfortable with it. Gave up and returned it for a refund. I might be the dissenting 1%, but I tried the coax, really wanted to like it and ended up returning it.

Fascinating to me that someone could have such an opposite experience from me regarding placing case in and out of the press. I find it a breeze to place cases in and out of the press and one of the key features I like a lot about the Forster Co-Ax.

I get it. Everyone else I know who owns one or has tried one just LOVES it. Just wasn't for me. I kept snagging the case head or felt super awkward trying not to. It's a great press for most people. Just not me.

Oh, I do get it . . . that it's just not for you. The issue still fascinates me, kinda like how anyone could just love the AMC Pacer. ;)
