Favorite mass produced bullet?

So if you guys were going to buy a box of Bullets from Cabela's for a Savage model 12 fclass in 6br....what would you get?

29" barrel
1:8 twist
I don't know if Cabela's has the Berger 105gr Hybrid or not. If so I'd buy them from Cabela's if that's your preference of places to shop. If they don't sell them, I'd go elsewhere. If you're talking about something like 600 yard F-Class, it could be your barrel might shoot some other bullet better than the Berger 105gr Hybrid, but I seriously doubt it.

Love that 105 Hybrid, but dang it, it's expensive and frequently out of stock.
Berger, Sierra, Hornaday in that order.

I would get a box of......each of the various Berger offerings and SMK. Try them all if I’m wanting to attain most accuracy.
If I’m wanting a starting place, I start with the cheapest (that I’ll consider using) which is usually 107 SMK.

From my experience in shopping at a Cabela's store your options especially on Bergers will be limited.

By the way, the Berger 105 Hybrid has been my favorite so far in my Savage Model 12 F Class in 6BR.

If you had to pick one 6mm bullet by the big brand names for all around work, what bullet would you choose?
It all depends what you mean by all around work. If any hunting is involved i would choose the 107 Sierra last. They won't open like the others. They have thicker jackets and most times will pencil. Matt

Tubb 115. I shot the berger 105 hybrid for a long time. The 115 dtac lives up to it's advertized .6 bc. Carries a lot of energy to the target bucking the wind.

So far we have

1. Berger hybrid 105....9 votes
2. Sierra MK 107....6 votes
3. Berger 108....4 votes
4. Dtac 115....2 votes, if it will stabilize?
5. Sierra GK 85....1 vote
6. Berger 30cal 155.5....1 vote, if I can swage it down lol
7. Sierra 20cal 39...1 vote, if I can swage it up lol

Yes i took all round bullet to include hunting also hence why I suggested 105 VLD Huntings, Sierra 107s would be my first choice for paper and steel.

Cabela's has the 105's but they are on backorder. A lot of Bullets are on backorder. I figure it's due to the first of the year. Companies don't want a lot of stock on hand for tax season.

So the Berger site says a 1:7 twist is required for the 105 hybrid. It says 1:8 twist for the 105 hunting vld and the 108.
Is Berger just being cautious with the 1:7 for the 105 hybrid?

I used to have an 8 twist in one of my Dashers using 105 Hybrids. It worked just fine out to 1000 yards. However, had I to do it all over again, I would opt for a 7.5 twist. As a matter of fact, if I were going to use ANY 105+ class bullet in a 6mm, I would use a 7.5 twist. It will work for anything!

I just measured the twist in my barrel. It is spot on 1:8. It's uniform the entire length also.

Right now with the 108eld's I have an accuracy node at 2823,2870 in the 2's and 2915 in the 3's.
