I don't see how, everyone has a favorite 6mm bullet and I'm sure once the poll is put up we will see a trend towards what most people here are having success with. As far as I know this is how you find out what is working.

I think you need to define if you are Target Shooting or Varmint Shooting. Shooters have favorite bullets for different things. Cost is also a factor in shooters choice of bullets as some bullets are good enough for some shooting disciplines.

I shoot Silhouette so my answers will be within that context...

1. 100-300 yards: (200m Chickens) Berger 87 VLD-Hunting

2. 300-600 yards: (300m Pigs and 385m Turkeys) Berger 95 VLD-Target and (500m Rams) Berger 115 VLD-Target.

you know we always talk about bullets but the skill of the shooter has a lot to do with it also . these pros shoot thousands of rounds a year.

I like Barts 80 grn Dominators for 300.
I like my own 68 BT for Group.

Yes and No Kris. You may see a few that stand out on use. But YOUR RIFLE will tell you if they are the one's that it likes the best.

I figured I'd start a separate post for the list of bullets to put in the poll.

I'm going to list 3 categories for the bullets, all 6mm. It does not matter what 6mm cartridge you shoot them in, I want to know what your favorite bullet is for each distance listed.

Like I said when the poll is finished I'm going to buy the bullet that comes out on top for each category and test them compared to what I've been shooting.

Categories:

1: favorite bullet for 100-300 yard.

2: favorite bullet for 300-600 yard.

3: favorite bullet for 600-1000 yard.
