Favorite 6mm BR Loads

I see H4895 was listed in the accurate loads data http://www.accurateshooter.com/cartridge-guides/6mmbr/#6BRloads

But only see a single reference to it on this entire thread. Is it "outdate" would no longer be considered a favorite, or does it still compete with powders listed in this thread, or other reason it may not be used?
Although I'm now shooting Varget in my BR and Dasher...for a couple of years I shot 29.5gr of H4895 & 105 VLDs, and was very satisfied.....I've been thinking about buying a jug at Powder Valley....

Anyone using Remington 7 1/2 primers in their 6BR? I have been satisfied with CCI450's but have a chance to by some Rem 7.5's very reasonable.

I don't personally, but the guy I bought my gun from used it extensively in my gun. Following loads came with it - so far only the A Max's have shot over .3 for 100yd 5 shot groups.

Help I need some reloading info please. I am currently shooting an RPA rifle 6mbr using factory loads such as lapua and Norma 105s in a 1-8 twist with a 28 inch bull border barrel. This rifle has produced 1.5 inch group at 600 yds with lapua 105s,there are 15 witnesses on the day of the shoot) i have just won 2 f class shoots out to 600 yards last week with this rifle but i still think it will shoot better with home loads:crazy: can anyone help with suggestions, real ones ) as to trying diffrent loads in this rifle i have shot it at 1oooyds and it shot very well but i need some help trying to improve its performance and using the 28 barrel with maximum effect. over to you boys now regards Chris:thumb:
I would try to copy that factory load you have, 1.5 at 600 is great, copy same bullet, powder and case dimensions, and use light neck tension!!! good shooting!!

Took it to 1000 yds yesterday in winds gusting 12 to 18 and it did amazingly well considering the bullet was pretty much out of steam at that range and I was shooting off a bi-pod. But at 750 yds it was a real hammer!

I will be loading Berger 105's, Lapua brass turn neck .268, fed primers, not sure of the powder yet. Looking for recommendations have varget, h335, and several others on hand. This will be shot out of a 15" barrel.

New build so this is just preliminary. 28" 1:8 Bartlein chambered for a plain vanilla 6BR with .268 neck and .120 freebore. Turned Lapua brass to .0115 for .002 clearance. Working rifle up to shoot Berger 105g Hybrids, Varget and 450 primers. So far all that I have been able to get done is the chronograph work searching for the load giving the lowest standard deviation. The lowest standard deviation was a five shot 3.8 at 30.2 grains of Varget and the bullets kissing the lands. MV avg was 2863. I will next start testing 5 shot groups at 200 yards around the 30.2 grain of Varget load. I'm pretty sure that the sweet spot is going to fall pretty close around the 30.2 grain load. After finding the best load I will start playing with seating depth. From what I have been reading, the hybrids like to be jumped, even up to .030

Once I get the whole thing worked up I will post the results here. BTW, that low SD was attributed more to cartridge work up than to load and sweet spot. I think one of the most important things to low standard deviation and small group size is consistent neck tension. You either have to feel it or gauge it, but you got to have it.

Regards,

1:8 Krieger, 30"+ barrel, 1.25x1.25 - once I went from slight jam to .020 off, remarkable results using 28.8 Varget! Tried going to pressure with ladder loads but didn't find a higher node, don't really understand. Easy on barrel though. 1/3 MOA @ 800 yds first time out. More experimentation needed, maybe H4350. Thoughts?

on a savage dual port target action using a ptg reamer with .117 freebore, my bartlein 26" full bull with 1:7.5" 5R shoots SMK 107s over 28.5 of varget .020 off the lands will shoot bug holes.

I have solely shot Varget in my 6br, with extraordinary results. But recent results I see have been commending H4895 as superior to some degree or another. Perhaps it depends upon the rifle/barrel itself. Not sure. I think I will get one pound and do a side by side test.

8 twist?
The heat range you are in are good. N-135 and RL15 have yielded good result for some shooters.

Kreiger 8tw finished at 30”, 110fb,272 no neck turn, 30gns of Varget, 107 Sierras jumped 10thou.. shot well in hot/cold temps, far exceeded my expectations.
