Favorite light bullet loads,1/14 twist 6BR)

New to the BR world...
Iam having a 6BR put together-
,rem trued 700, 1.25 str taper Krieger 1/14 twist)

Im looking for some light bullet loads.

I have looked at the loads listed on this sight, but most are with powders I dont have. I would like to find something with Varget as I have 8lbs of it.

Any recomendations would be appreciated.

In my 1-14" on groundhogs using the 55 Blitz or 58 VMAX, I stuff as much Varget as I can into the case using a drop tube. You can start at 32.5 grains and work up.

With 55's and 58's Reloder 7 works fine. But so far the best in my gun is AA2230 which gives astonishing velocity and very small groups.

My 20" 1 in 14 groundhog pistol loves the 66 grain Fowler and Varget and the Russian SRM primers.
200 yard groups will make you blink and look again ......

I have tried several loads with Varget lately. I have a Cooper Classic model 22, 26" barrel.

I only use Lapua brass and CCI BR4 primers. I have used different bullets but have found that the 65 gr. VMAX has done the best. That is all I shoot now. I seat my bullets .005" out from the lands.

The squares on the target are one inch. The first picture I shot 2 weeks ago with 32 grs. of Varget. The second picture I shot Saturday with 32.5 grs. of Varget,One shot of the 5 was operator error!). The final picture was 34 grs. of Varget. Still not bad. I can't say positively that it is the load and not me. My portable bench I shoot off of is not real stable. I surprise myself at targets I get shooting off this bench. Good Luck.

Expiper, where did you find your load data for 133? VV's website starts load data with 70g bullets with 28.7 max. I'm looking for data for that powder for lighter bullets.

Thanks,
Jim

I have a 6mm BR with a Hart 1-14" barrel. I shoot 65 grn. V-Maxes with 34.5 grn. of Varget, CCI 450 mag. primers into one hole at 200 meters on a perfect day. The same bullet with Federal small rifle match primers works with 31.0 grn. of VV N135. Bear in mind that these are safe in my rifle; do not start off with these loads in your rifle. Start below my loads and work up carefully!

Thanks for the help guys.

My barrel showed up today, hope to be shooting by the weekend.

Looks like I will have some loading to do while I wait for the 'smith.

thanks again.
