Factory test firing

I just got a new Bergara B14 Hunter and was surprised at the amount of copper in the bore.

I trust the shop I bought it from and don't believe that I was sold a used rifle but made me wonder if the factory test fires all rifles or randomly selects some to be tested.

Not that long ago, I received back a custom rifle re-barrel that had had a single test shot fired through it, which I confirmed with the smith. I could not believe how much copper there was in the bore, likely due some sharp edges on the freshly chambered barrel. This barrel did not copper up like that on subsequent shots. I've gotten back others that had very little, although they had also clearly been test fired. I have no idea what testing procedure Bergara uses, if any. You could probably call them and find out. I wouldn't necessarily conclude that the rifle wasn't "new" just because it had a fair amount of copper in the bore. It can happen.

Bergara test fires all their rifles - there should have been a small card with three holes in it showing the group.

This video starts where they talk about test firing rifles.

No it doesn't.

Video starts about where they're discussing overpressure proofing, at approximately 14:41 the company rep says, "This is our proof house test area, every single one is proof tested in overpressure".

Later in the video, approximately 16:40, when discussing accuracy testing is where the same rep says, "more or less 20% of our production is tested."

What three shots in a row in a NEW barrel without cleaning between every
round?
What the heck is going on here!

Must remove and trash the barrel due to the shoot one shoot then clean break in procedure has not been followed.

Every one of the new Premier line is accuracy tested before it leaves the factory. I'm thinking that line isn't one of the big sellers given the price tag.
