Factory barrel break in

With a factory barrel I run a few wet patches through it and a few dry ones. Just trying to remove any oil or metal chips. Then just shoot it. On a custom barrel I do the same initial wet patch thing. Then I shoot it once and patch it out and continue doing that until I don't get copper on the patch. On a Krieger barrel thats usually 6 or 8 shots.

I'm not going to use up a significant amount of the barrel life on a 22-250ACK or 6.5-284 with a lengthy break-in.

Life is too short to waste a moment of it 'breaking in' barrels.

I ask myself yesterday why in the hell I'm scrubbing this barrel? Last two days shot and scrubbed about 20 + rounds . Today I must have shot another 20 no scrub until tonight. Mixed Kroil and shooters choice and srubbed twice then scoped it and I could not believe how clean. Maybe it does work?
