30-40 yeas ago I had a couple copper up in just a couple shots. In the last 10 years all the new barrels I have had didn't copper or carbon foul at all. I don't like to put a rod in my barrels unless I have to. I have another brand new one for this year. I'll give it a few easy shots, a few more over the chrony to make sure my load is good, and from there its going to the match's.
